A double sided Plated Through Hole (PTH) PCB is a 2 layer board with conductive copper circuitry on both top and bottom surfaces, separated by a substrate (often FR 4). Holes drilled through the board are plated with copper to form conductive paths (vias), connecting the layers. It is the industry standard for denser, more complex designs compared to single-sided boards.
